FAQs
Everything You Need to Know
Before You Book
How do I make a booking?
Just head to our website, choose your dates and cabin, and follow the steps to book. Once that’s done, we’ll send you a confirmation email.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, we ask for a minimum of two nights during our soft-opening period.
What’s included in the nightly rate?
Your stay covers the cabin, in-room amenities, and cleaning. Meals and drinks aren’t included, but you’ll find plenty of local options nearby.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancel 14 days or more before check-in and there’s no charge. Within 14 days, cancellation fees will apply.
Preparing for Your Stay
Do I need to bring my own linen or towels?
No need — we’ve got you covered with fresh linen, towels, and robes.
What should I pack?
Seasonal clothing, comfy shoes for exploring, and anything you’d like for your own outdoor adventures. We’ve already stocked the cabin with bedding, bath items, and kitchen basics.
Will I have Wi-Fi or phone signal?
Wi-Fi isn’t available — part of the charm is unplugging. Mobile reception can be patchy, depending on your provider.
During Your Stay
What will I find inside the cabins?
Each one has a king-size bed, bathtub, wood fireplace, bespoke furniture, and a private deck. There’s also a kitchenette with cooktop, fridge, cookware, and tableware.
Is there heating and cooling?
Yes — each cabin has air-conditioning and a fireplace to keep you comfortable year-round.
Can I cook for myself?
Absolutely. Every cabin has a kitchen, and we recommend trying local produce and wine from the Barossa while you’re here.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry — pets aren’t allowed at this stage.
Location & Access
How do I get there?
We’re about an hour’s drive from Adelaide CBD. Public transport in the Barossa is limited, so driving is best. On-site parking is free.
Is it very remote?
Our cabins are set in nature for a sense of escape, but still close to wineries and local attractions. It’s the best of both worlds.
Policies & Safety
Is Autra Resort suitable for children?
We’ve designed the cabins as a quiet retreat for adults. For comfort and safety reasons, we don’t recommend bringing children.
Is it safe to stay off-grid?
Yes. The cabins have reliable power, hot water, and safety equipment. Our team is on hand if you need support.
What’s your approach to sustainability?
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do — from off-grid systems and eco-friendly materials to partnerships with local communities.
